These things are possible. They have been going a while now, with
hundreds of companies offering "free" stuff for referring several
people to sign up for something. However you have absolutely ZERO
negotiation power with the company providing the free good, as well
you will also discover that it is very hard to get all those referrals
you need. I suspect 90% of people who try to get a free good through
this system fail after spending money on one of the offers which you
must complete. Remember even after you get 10 people to complete the
offers, they have no reason to send out the item to you.

I tried to do these things last year. If you really want to do them
you will, probably nothing I can say would stop you. But just be
prepared to lose out. These guys are doing it to make money, not the
other way round.
