Copies of SMS send and receive to my own number * help*

Can I go to the provider and get copies of all out going and in coming
texts on my mobile number sent over the last 4 weeks?. What sort of
charge does on expect?

If you are on contract then will get your bill soon so no problem there for
outgoing.
If on pay as you go, although they will have records I'm sure this request
is impossible. You could contact them and tell them the data off your phone
has been wiped and ask for a list of any connections they have for it but
seriously doubt they will entertain you.

As for incoming texts, they may have that info logged somewhere but us mere
mortals wouldn't get access to that kind of information.

What kind of phone do you have as I'd imagine your incoming texts would
still be stored there and if it was a reasonable kind of phone then you
might also have your sent texts there as well?!

Or do you suspect your partner is cheating on you as there are other ways to
find out ;o)

my partner is cheating - you are good - I though the RIP Act states
that all providers need copies of all outgoing and incoming SMS

No harm in asking. The call centres can't get that info unless it is on
your bill. Every text sent to or from a phone, or calls to and from a phone
together with locations, phone used and SIM/IMEI are all stored for at least
5 years. Mobile companies produce this info on receipt of a Production
Order from the Police. You can even get a fancy map showing this - very
interesting too as you can be tracked in most cases to within 30ft. Mobile
companies know exactly which SIMs are being used in stolen phones.
