Orange do not provide
SIM only for contract phones.
You may be able to complete the necessary transfer process to change
the responsibility of the old account to your daughter. Clearly, then,
she will have two accounts in her name. At that point it may be
possible for her to do a migration from one account to another and
discard the new number.
If she wants to use her new handset with an Orange
SIM, it will either
need to be
SIM-free, unlocked, not-locked to another network or locked
to Orange.
