T-mobile 3G coverage

I have one of their USB 3G modem things.
It works very well except I can never seem to get 3G unless I am in London.

Is T-Mobiles 3G coverage that much poorer than the other networks?

I can live with GPRS most of the time, it just seems they don't have a
network thats up to the job.

It works for me in Leicester, have you tried streetcheck on the T-Mobile
website? It will tell you where coverage is and isn't.
