My treatment by phones2udirect (

incensed me to such an extent that I have felt compelled to create
this group in the hope that other people who consider using them as a
provider for their mobile phone contract. My offer revolved around a
cashback system whereby I should be refunded the full amount I had
spent. This might sound too good to be true and indeed it is.
Firstly, phones2udirect seem to have no concept of customer service.
Communications via their online messaging service is about as useful
as putting a message in a bottle and throwing it into the sea. The
response rate is equally poor if they were contacted by email. The
most direct method of communication (telephone) is not an option when
enquiring about cashback claims as the unhelpful individual on the
other end of the line will always claim that there is noone in the
business of cashback claims manning the phones. (The solution, we are
advised is to email/use the online messaging service!)
Worse than their customer service is their mercenary approach to
dealing with cashback. To be successful in application, one must
satisfy several demands (most of which seem to be designed to cause
obstacles than to be strictly necessary). The chances of satisfying
these demands is small given that the company will look for the
slightest excuse to reject the claim. Worse of all though is that
having had the first claim rejected, you are no longer elligible to
make or receive any further claims for that contract. This means that
YOU WILL RECEIVE NO MONEY.
Clearly these tactics mean that the company makes a lot of money but
unfortunately it is at the expense of the customer's welfare.
Typically, the letter of disappointment that I sent them resulted in
only a hard-nosed, unsympathetic response.
PLEASE DO NOT ENTER INTO A CONTRACT WITH PHONES2UDIRECT. THE CHANCES
ARE YOU WILL LOSE OUT FINANCIALLY.
