Sim offer from Virgin Media

Hi,

I have VirginMedia - Phone (free weekends only), Broadband (2M) and
Free basic TV.

I'm tempted to add the mobile SIM only- 300mins + 300 texts for 10
pounds.
http://allyours.virginmedia.com/

Some confusion in that
http://www.virginmobile.com/vm/gener...les.shop.sm245
says 100mins + 100 texts ???

I do require that the phone (Nokia 3120 unlocked) should work in the
US, Hong Kong, China, Taiwan - as it does now with O2 PAYG Original.

Virgin seem to have a very limited number of countries and very high
rates for PAYG; much better on contract.

Does anybody know which countries and at what rates apply to this SIM
only offer ???

TIA

They started off at 300/300 then they went to 100/100. They keep
swapping and changing. It appears that there is virtually no
connection between VirginMedia and VirginMobile. You have to supply
all your bank details etc. all over again. Just ring them and tell
them you want 300/300 and you should get it.
The downside of VirginMobile is the lack of any data blocks.
You have to pay in KB, at a rate of £5/MB, which is very expensive.
Hence I don't use and data.

Can you confirm the countries I mention are available.
Presumably calls to and from other countries, 0870, 0845, etc are not
included in the 300 minutes ? Are the charges for such calls simply
included in the monthly VirginMedia bill with a Direct Debit ?

I agree that VM calls are now outrageous.
I don't need the 24/7 call package, becuse it's only for 01... and
02... The dialling rules in this house are:
1. Geographic calls on a weekend, use VM.
2. Everything else use 1899.com

Thanks.

Depending on the country there are cheaper alternative providers than
1899.com
