Motoroal RaZR - How to send MMS? - Step by step instructions please.

Hi there,

If anyone could help me it would be great. I have a frined who wants to get
photos from her Motorola Razr phone but does not know how to hook up to PC.

Therefore I said send an MMS to me and I will do it.

However they said they do not know how to MMS.

As I don't have the phone not sure how to talk them through.

Can anyone send the instructions.

1. Pick up (or download) instruction manual
2. Read document referred to in (1).

Can't help with the instructions, but like Jon said should be easy enough to
download a manual for that phone.

Bear in mind that (by default at least) most phones reduce the image size
right down for sending a MMS message. The picture you receive and print out
may be of significantly lower quality than the actual photo on her phone...

OK thanks for the link. Actually looking at the manual it would seem the
RAZR uses a standard USB cable.
Is this the case. Can I send her a standard USB cable to hook the phone up
to her PC?

Does Motorolaa have some easily available software like Nokia does?

No idea, never owned a Motorola, but probably. You could have poke around
that site I sent you though, and see if you could find anything.
It's possible that if you plug the phone into the USB socket that the
computer will see it as a remote drive or something like that??
Any Razr owners like to clarify that?

I don't know about any of the newer Razr models, but if I plugged my old
V3 into the USB port of a Windows PC it wouldn't even CHARGE without the
Motorola drivers installed, so I expect the odds of getting any
communication going without the Motorola software will be slim at best.
Newer models might be more tolerant, otherwise it's time to trawl
Motorola's website looking for drivers.

Bluetooth, on the other hand, was pretty robust and reliable once all
the right settings were in the right place, and no Motorola software was
necessary. If you have access to a device with Bluetooth, that might be
the way to go.

OK great, thanks for all the input.

Even from the manual I've still not worked out an easy to way to provide
written instructions to a complete novice on how to send me an MMS.

So if anyone actually had a phone in front of them and can kindly quickly
write the buttom press path

E.g.
Menu->New MMS -> Insert Image - > Navigate to defaul folder)

etc.

While I may be able to construct somethign from the manual it is not
substitue for having a device in front of you and would be fanctasitc if
someone could quickly post something like the above (but the correct
navigation).
