o2 Voicemail Problem

My employer has given us mobiles on the o2 network. Voicemail is working ok
when the phone is turned on but if I switch off then the caller gets a
message saying "the call cannot be connected at this time", is there a
setting that I need to change to get this working again?

Thanks
Norman

did you turn it on to begin with?
i had to with my new O2 contract - even though when i accessed voicemail
before activating it, it sounded like it was on.

there's a shortcut - a 3 digit number you phone to activate it.

It was activated when I got the phone, someone else in the company had been
using it before I received it.It is actually working, people can leave
messages when the phone is switched on, it's just when I turn off it doesn't
work.

Sounds like divert when unavailable isn't set. Is there a menu on the
phone for call divert..?

Failing that, try 1750 (send) - this should turn all options for voicemail
on.

There's a *# code to activate/deactivate each specific option but I can't
remember offhand what they are.
