How do you write your initials on an SMS?

When I write an SMS , I like to put my name or my initials at the end.

I used to use -SUE or -SP but I found that the hyphen can get seperated
from the letters if the line wraps just at that point on the recipient's
phone

What symbols in an SMS do others people here use to indicate their
initials?

I don't use any, the only people I send texts to would have my number in
their addressbook anyway, and why waste characters when you've only got
160 to start with?

I usually end my SMS's with '<NewLine>Cheers, Chris'

I have it set up as a template, so I don't need to type it each time.
Having said that though, like someone else said in this thread though,
unless you text people who are unlikely to have your number in their phone
book, there is little point in signing it, as their phone will tell them who
it is from anyway...

I still do it anyway though, (as long as there is enough space left).

Well that's no good for the OP - she's not called Chris...

BTW are you saying <NewLine> is typed in and interpreted an SMS code?
Or am I being thick and you're just saying you start your sign-off on
another line (but if so why would the recipient's display be the same?)

Your first name is "hyphen" ?

Good point!
Sorry, OP. I should have thought of that... :-)

I'm saying that I start 'Cheers, Chris' on a newline. On my Nokia, if I type
000 with predictive text turned off, it starts a new line. Not sure if it
displays correctly on other phones, but I guess it should on most...?
