: : : : : I am using a virgin
sim in an o2 branded N73.
: : : : : When I dial 222 for my voicemail I get a message
: : : : : that this number is not available on this
: : : : : network. Was working ok until I done a factory
: : : : : reset.
: : : : :
: : : : : Anyone any ideas?
: : :
: : : 222 isn't the voicemail number. On Virgin, as on the
: : : host network T-Mobile, the voicemail number is
: : : derived from your own mobile number. For example if
: : : your number is 07789 xxxxxx then your voicemail would
: : : be +440637789xxxxxx.
: :
: : 222 is the number you call in order to set up your
: : voicemail number.
Ah, I'd forgotten that, thanks.
: : On Virgin PAYG the voicemail number
: : is made up from your own number but the numbers after
: : +44 are not always 063. If you pay by direct debit then
: : the voicemail number bears no resemblance to your
: : mobile number at all and just looks like a standard
: : mobile number, mine starts +447953.
Not always, I pay by direct debit and my voicemail number is in the form
+44063xxx.
: : I know you cannot call 222 if you are on PAYG and have
: : no credit (even though voicemail is free), but can't
: : think of another another reason why you can't dial it.
I just tried it and was told by a recorded announcement that there was a
technical problem and to try later.
