#1 | | Guest | I've had the same outgoing message in my Orange answerphone for ages,
but this morning I discover that it is no longer there, and I'm offered
the chance to record a personal greeting.
Orange seems to be going out of its way to piss off their customers, but
this seems a bit over the top, even for them.

If you replace 'u' with 'you' and 'n' with 'and' he makes a good point.
Unless you personalise your OGM (needed only because they dumped your
old OGM) you get nagged to do so every time you call, and have to wait
for the end of the nag - a keypress won't shut it up.
It's irritating enough to me, but if I were paying to retrieve messages
I'd be even more annoyed by it.
Orange - the network that tries to make its customers go away.

The voicemail platform was recently upgraded, your greeting may have
been lost as a result of this.

It's that famous 'computer speak' ... upgrade = change, not necessarily for
the better!
And as for the 'upgrade' ....... grr I'm gonna start another thread!

There are some new options which are quite useful, eg the ability to
pause playback in the middle of a voicemail.

And the loss of menu option 7 to get the sender's caller ID. (OK, you can
get it texted to you by pressing 4... they claim it's free but I'll
believe it when I see it)

There is one upgrade to answerphone I want: restoration of Wildfire.
Failing that, I'd prefer to keep my OGM rather than have it sacrificed
for features I shall never ever use.
