Email on O2 PAYG

is there anyway to get e-mail to work on an o2 payg phone??? im trying
to use O2's e-mail service

"POP3 settings are like a street address for your email account. They
tell us where to find the emails that are sent to your account. You'll
need these settings to view your O2 webmail from Outlook or Outlook
Express.

Email service provider: O2
Account username format: (Full email address)
Incoming email (POP3): mail.o2.co.uk
Outgoing email (SMTP): smtp.o2.co.uk

You'll also need your o2.co.uk password. "

same settings for both, but then again I only have experience of email
settings on sony ericsson phones.
