Its normal for me and no you can't turn it off. Its handy at times and a
pain in the arse at other times. You get used to it tho.

Yes it's normal.

If you want it turned off you'll have to call customer services and
ask.

Sam.

It can definitly be turned off- Give customer services a ring and
they'll do it in about 10 seconds.

Why do you want it turned off..? I find it very useful as a running check
on my balance. It's a lot better than having to call 453 after every call
like on Orange.

Because like everything most things, just because one person
likes something, doesn't mean someone else will.

You should know that by now Ivor.

Because I find it annoying

I have no need to do that. Once, maybe twice a week is enough of
a check for me.

Perhaps you should consider putting more credit on your phone.

I have plenty of credit. I usually put on £50 at a time. I just like to
keep a running check and a quick message on screen is far easier and less
annoying than having to phone a separate number and wait for Mrs. Orange
to read it out to you.

Yes just give cs a call - I'm on Tesco which is a joint venture with O2 and
get the same message. A quick call to cs did the trick.

You can always get your balance by dialing *#10#
