Purchasing an O2 Sim on contract (SIMplicity) at Carphone Warehousefor EDGE; EDGE coverage is useless

I spend half my time in Edinbugh and half my time in London. I bought
an iPhone & unlocked it.

I decided to go for an O2 deal because for £7.50 you can get
'unlimited' data. I have had the service for 2 days. It is dire.

I hardly ever get an 'E' icon (which indicates I am using Edge).
Also, Edge is
*painfully* slow (which I expected) I would prefer to just use turn
off Edge and only use WiFI (which is possible by chaging the settings
from the main menu)

Am I entited to take the Sim card back? I don't care about paying 1
months service (it's not much).

cheers, Mike

Check your contract, you should have a 14 day cooling off period. If
you cant find anything on your contract call O2 and check with them.
For god sake do not contact Carphone Warehouse they will fob you off
right from the start.

But O2 will just send him to CW.

Unlikely.

You need to check your contract, but it is not likely it gives you any
right to return it.

But SIM only contracts shouldn't usually have a significant minimum
term, because there is virtually no cost in a SIM.

With my wife and my recent problems with CPW - avoid them, they are
completely useless, arrogant, rude and liars.

They also told me that the 14 day cooling off period wasn't applicable in
our case, although they signed my wife up to a contract without her consent!

Go to O2 - We will never use CPW again.
