New Number Porting Times

Has anyone done a number transfer since the new timeframe of 2 days
was supposedly introduced this week? I am wondering if it is worth
waiting for it to bed in a bit before i volunteer my number.

Also I dont suppose the new system will allow O2/Vodafone to finally
accept ported numbers onto existing contracts like Orange/T-mobile/
three?

Cheers,

The new porting times do not require any systems changes. It's the
choice of each mobile operator weather to (a) accept port-in requests at
all (they don't have to) and (b) to offer them only at point of
connection or retrospectively.
