I use www.goosync.com as the sync server, the SE W880i allows me to set
a sync interval

anyway I am not using a 3rd party application I am using the phones
built in Sync

In your K800i menu choose Organiser->Synchronisation and set up the
goosync details

I have just the free account with goosync. I set the w880i to connect
every 12 hours (there are other options) under the sync interval option.
Do you have that option?
