Does anyone have a fax number for Orange? All internet research has
drawn a blank, I get the impression that they don't want to be faxed.

If their fax machines are anything like the ones in our office, they
get so much junk that "real" faxes simply get lost in the noise.

IMO fax is useful for sending something that someone is explicitly
expecting. (As in the scenario that you phone them to tell them you are
about to send a fax and/or have just sent them a fax.)

If you want to send something to Orange, write to their registered
office using recorded delivery. Bear in mind that the courts in this
land only use "ordinary" first class post, so there's no excuse for Orange
later claiming they didn't receive something delivered as recorded. (A
good attempt is for a big company to say that so'n'so who signed for
it wasn't authorised to do so, or that it must have got lost/mislaid in
    the internal post.)

If there is one I don't know what it is. Are you really that bothered by
    a few pence?

C'mon, a fax can sometimes take up to two minutes, at 10 ppm that's 20p,
well worth waiting on here for the 01 number to enable such a saving - there
is a recession on you know!

If it's one of these fax-to-email gateways, I think you'll find it operates at
top speed (i.e. the transmission time is determined by the sender's machine).
