I know its not exactly what you are looking for, but think about 2
sim
only contracts with vodafone - £25 buys you 750 minutes and 250 texts
(so thats 1500 minutes between you for your £50) with only a 30 day
notice period. If one of you uses phone more than the other you could
go with (say) a £15 - 225 minutes - and £20 - 500 minutes and save £15 a
month. Over an 18 month contract that is £270 and you can buy yourself
new unlocked phones from someone like expansys or keep one or more of
the old ones.
My wife and I have done just that - both self employed and very variable
work demand. With troubled economic times ahead, the lack of lock in
period is potentially a big plus. One of our phones is a PAYG Samsung
E250 which cost £30 in the Voda shop, it works with the contract
SIM and
does just what we want.
It's sort of liberating not having a minimum term - makes me feel like a
real customer with power to choose!
