Yes.

It allows you to use the phone as a handsfree speakerphone, or (if the phone
has music playing capability) to royally piss off people sharing public
transport with you.

> what does standby time mean?

The amount of time the manufacturers claim the phone will last between
charges if you leave it switched on but unused.

> what does talktime mean?

The amount of time the manufacturers claim you can use the phone for making
phone calls with before the battery goes flat if you start with a fully
charged battery.

> what does Band: TRI mean?

The number of GSM frequencies that the phone can connect to, in the UK or
europe this is usually 900, 1800 & 1900.

> whay does SAR level mean?

No idea, sorry.

Specific absorption rate, a figure proportional to the number of layers
of aluminium foil the poster known as "Lenny" wraps around his gonads
before using his mobile phone.

Couple of points

How

If the phone has an FM radio, could talktime give an indication of how
long the radio will play before the battery flattens?

If I make a call in the UK what determines which frequency is used.

Thanks again.

Best wishes

Specific Absorption Rate
It's the amount of Radio Frequency signal Transmitted from the phone
you would absorb if on full power.

The figures are meaningless as the amount of transmitted signal
varies tremendously depending how far you are from a cell.

The closer you are to a cell, the lower the power the phone puts out
