O2 have finally confirmed that the 3G iPhone will be released on PAYG
from Sep 16th 2008 with the following prices;
8gb @ £349, and the
16gb @ £399
both prices include 12 months unlimited data (GPRS, Edge, 3G and
HSDPA) and wi-fi (Cloud access etc). After 12 months customers will
have the option of having a PAYG bolt-on for £10 per month.
About bloody time, and I would say a darn sight cheaper than £99, plus
18 months @ £35 per month.

it's still more than some laptops cost - i'd like to know how they justify
that ( other than some vague 'it's miniaturisation'comments )

What? That more expensive than a passable laptop on a 3 pre pay tariff! And
