Anyone out there that can unlock

    Motorola Razr V3 on Vodafone

    Sagem MY C5-3 on Virgin

    at a reasonable price?

I tried to get the V3 unlock a while back but there were problems with
the Motorla server - everyone was baulked. The C5-3 I have quotes of £15
and £35 which I think are outrageous.

    TIA

Well........ you could always buy the SWS-Sag box and unlock it yourself.
Of course, the box costs in the region of £170 and you'll need the
experience of dismantling (completely) your phone so that you can fit one of
the supplied (piss poor quality) jigs to the main circuit board. £35 is
taking the piss, but Sagem's are not pleasant to unlock and considering that
they're not a popular handset it can take a while to recoup your outlay.

The V3 unlock should be relatively simple for anyone with a SmartClip
    providing that it is actually a V3. If it's a V3i, V3R or V3v it'll need to
be stripped and testpointed as well.

If you are on Virgin PAYG, and have toped up with £30 or more, then you can
get the unlock code for free. It can take up to 28 days to arrive as they
have to reqest the code from Sagem.

    Email them via http://www.virginmobile.com/vm/contactUs.do
with your Virgin Mobile number, your phone make and model and also your IMEI
    number.

I believe this has now changed and they charge a fee for the code
    regardless.
