Has anyone got a landline number I can use for customer services for
Carphone Warehouse please ? (rather than paying for an 0870 -
saynoto0870 seems to be offline at the moment...)

A CS tubby recently told me that 0870 111 7200 is the only 08nn number
that's free to call from a phone when CPW is the ISP.
Of course, their utterings may be no more reliable than those of Orange CS.

'saynoto0870 ' is back on - or it is for me.
If you still are unable to access it, re-post and I will cut and paste.
There is rather a lot and to avoid swamping the Group, it may be easier
to email you directly.
Alternatively, do you know specifically which 0870 - number you want?

Sadly (then again...) i'm not with CPW as an ISP, i'm with Sky, and
pay for 0870 calls...
In the meantime, an update for anyone who may happen to give a damn.
I was offered a new contract, 18 months, normally £15 per month but
with £10 credit _per_month_ per phone - for the first month there's 75
free minutes and 250 free texts, for the second month onwards, there's
a free bolt-on which ups the free minutes (any time, cross network) to
250 per month.
Sure, it might be a tiny bit more than I thought i'd be paying moving
to Asda, but it's hard to beat this one, so I went for it.
No chance of getting a free phone upgrade at the same time (I did try,
but for the price, I really didn't expect to get anywhere) - but the
issue i've had with text messages full / unable to receive more texts
might be on the way to being resolved too - they're sending me a
couple of new 3G SIM cards to throw in them (we have two phones, his
and hers).
So, £90 gets me 4325 minutes of free calls, and 4500 texts (per phone)
- we're only light users, so this works out well for us.

Got it sorted now, but many thanks for the reply :-) (see my other
reply for the outcome)

Apologies for typo/brain-fade. I meant when CPW is the SP - service
provider.
