    Not sure if this is the right place to post, so sorry if it is


    I have an out of warranty, although i thought it was, but the shop in
    Harrogate says its not a UK phone??? so not covered in the UK, that has a
    broken "rocker zoom switch" and the flash doesnt not work on the camera, any
    ideas anyone?

    So what is your question?

    You can still pay a Nokia Service Centre to carry out hardware repairs
    to a phone that's not covered by warranty. One exception to that is
    software related problems that might require the phone to be
    re-flashed. I had an N95 8GB purchased in Hong Kong and the UK service
    centres wouldn't touch it. They claimed they didn't have access to the
    firmware required.

    You could try uk.legal.moderated

    In general terms if the phone was supplied in the UK and has not lasted
    a reasonable period then the supplier is responsible. If it was
    purchased using a credit card that company may also be responsible.
    Phone contracts may cloud the issue a bit.

    How did you acquire the phone and how old is it?
