    Hi,

    I've got a Sony Ericsson W610i.
I've recently switched to ASDA Mobile, and I'm quite happy with it, it's
just that certain people are taking the p*** out of the fact that my phone
now says 'ASDA' at the top of the display.
I don't really care, as I'm getting cheaper calls, texts and data access
than them, but more out of curiosity than anything else, is there a way of
changing or hiding what is displayed there?

I remember, quite some years ago, with older, mono-display phones, you used
to be able to download 'logos' that would replace the Network name with a
graphic, or even just a blank. Is this still possible somehow?

Make a wallpaper the same colour as the text?

It's possible but there's no simple way of doing it with SE phones and it
depends on the specific model - unlike Nokia phones where the operator logo
is supported as a recognised and unique file type (you just download a blank
    logo).

    Google is your friend.

Hmm, I had a look on Google, but couldn't find anything. That's why I
thought I'd ask here, as there is usually someone that knows a bit about
    mobile phones hanging around...
(and yes, it was a Nokia that I remember downloading logos for)

Hmmm, thanks for that Adrian, good find!
I wonder if I can just copy the file to the correct directory via the USB
    cable?
When I get some time, I might do some tentative experiments. Not really
happy messing with stuff I don't understand too much though, don't want to
    bu**er up my phone...

    Thanks again
