    Hi,

If my mobile rings and I choose to reject the call(press the NO
button), is the caller charged anything? I have never actually had
cause to do this but wondered what the caller hears and whether the
    caller is charged.

    Thanks guys.

I would expect not - except if you've chosen to divert to voicemail on
    reject...

    If you have voicemail or divert on unavailable enabled, then yes;
otherwise they'll get number unobtainable, so no.

When you reject the call is diverted to your voicemail, unless you have
voicemail disabled, so the call will be connected and the caller may
well be charged. It will depedn on which network they are calling from.
For example Orange do not make a charge if the call lasts less than 2
seconds I think it is. Maybe 3 seconds.

As other posters have said if there is no divert on busy set up, either to
voicemail or an alternative number then the call will end with no charge to
the caller. Just to add to that though, what the caller then hears depends
on the origanating telco as well as your network, calls from landlines which
are rejected will be meat with, number unobtainable, number busy signal or
in some cases a recorded message "the other person has cleared". From a
mobile either number busy signal or fast busy (rapid pips).

Thanks to all who answered. I wondered what the caller would get as
far as notification, and didn't realise it would depend upon where the
    call was coming from.

No, I have always made sure I do not have voicemail active, so caller
    is not charged - excellent!

Again, thanks all, I am a bit wiser now! ;o)
