    Thanks for the info.
    MMS messages are not that important to me, sounds like too much hassle.
    Think I'll follow your lead, and ...
    Give up.

    Porting any mobile number in the UK has widely been described on the
    internet as severely broken. I believe Offcom has proposed a solution but
    the phone companies are back-pedalling.
