Hello Group,
I'm looking to replace my trusty old Nokia 3310 which is getting
rather long in the tooth now and wonder if anyone can offer
recommendations based upon my following requirements.....

1) phone call use is low

2) texting is also fairly infrequent

3) I would like quad band as I do visit rural areas of USA most years

4) I REALLY need to get away from problem of making inadvertent
calls....the 3310, even with keypad locked, will either:
a) unlock itself and select random entry in phone book, dial and
connect
b) dial and connect to emergency services, which isn't protected by
keypad lock
when turned on and in trouser pocket.
I find this problem VERY annoying and end up leaving it turned off all
the time to avoid it.

5) I'd like something fairly robust. I have dropped the 3310 a few
times over its life and even when landing on concrete the worst that
has happened has been the rear cover has become detached.

6) Not really interested in music/camera but wouldn't rule a handset
out because it has them.

Currently use OVP Virgin SIM and see no reason to change from this
should it make any difference to anyone's recommendations
