    Hi all,

I have a N95 8gb, I added about 30 albums from my pc to the music player.

I have deleted all the songs from the phone but the albums still show up in
the listings, when I go to an album and try to delete it says-

"Delete all items belonging to 'name of album'".
when I press this it says

    'General:Feature not supported'

Anyone know how I can delete these completely?

    TIA

    james

    1) Connect the phone in "Data Transfer" mode to your PC.

    2) Delete the two files in "E:\private\101FFC31" (called "mpxv1.mpd"
    and "pcv5.mpd").

    3) Delete the one file in "E:\private\101ffca9" (called
    "harvesterdb.dat").

    4) Disconnect the phone from the PC and run Music Player on the phone.

    5) Wait a while for the app to startup. It will be rebuilding the
    library.

    6) Just to be sure, select "Refresh".

    thanks chris,

i've tried that but when i open my phone in "Data Transfer" mode there is no
folder named private, i have 13 folders named "Attachments" through to
"Videos" and and a notepad file called "qf", none of these contain anything
    called "private" or "mpxv1.mpd" etc.

I've googled my problem and everywhere comes up with the same suggestion
you've given, but it doesn't solve my problem, anyone have any solutions
other than taking it back to factory fresh?

You probably have Windows Explorer set to not show hidden files and
    folders.

From the "Tools" menu choose "Folder Options...", then under the
"View" tab look for the setting "Show hidden files and folders" and
    make sure it is selected.
