Is any seasoned O2 hand able to tell me if it's possilbe to do something
like 'choose to refuse' on O2??
That is where the last person who called you (who presents a number - not
withheld/unavailable) can be added to a blacklist. I know it's possible
with BT landlines. I suspect if the phone has the right OS it can be put
on as a application, but I really would like to know if anyone on O2 has
it working at a network level.
TIA.

AFAIK BTs "Choose to Refuse will block numbers that are withheld from
presentation, as long as the number is available to the network.
BT used to offer a service called "enhanced call return" where
1471 gave you the last 5 missed calls. I discovered that if there was a
withheld call on the list, a subsequent call from the same caller did not
create a new entry, it updated the old one thus: "the caller who withheld
their number called X times, the last time was today at XhXm
so if you knew where the first call originated from, you also knew
where the second one came from which is more than you would have
known without the service.
Not sure if the right to privacy lobby ever
twigged to that one.
