8910 on US Cellular

i've been browsing the threads looking for some information, the stuff i've found makes me a little nervous so i just wanna ask you guys and make sure that i didnt miss anything...

if i go out and buy one of the usb cables and get one of the programs am i going to be able to upload my own ringtones and such to the phone? i've seen a lot of people having trouble with this so i dont want to go out and waste my money on the cable if im not going to be able to use it anyway..

I am in the same situation. Some people say it can do things but I have yet to find an actual owner that has reported success. Don't try the PDL-8910 Kit. I get no help from US Cellular or Audiovox. They want you to subscribe to Easy Edge. I sure don't want to try anything until someone comes forward with experienced information. I belong to numberous groups and can't get an answer.

hopefully somebody comes through for us on this one lol...i really hate the standard ring tones and such that come on the 8910, and that easy edge stuff is a joke...i hate us cellular for making things so difficult..

US Cellular denies puting anything into the phone that will not allow it to work. Funny cause my wifes CDM-8900 works fine with the PDL-8900 software although all I ever got it to do was download the pictures. The 8910 is useless for photos and I am sorry they talked me into it even though it was only $9.99.

same here man...if i had known that it was going to be such a pain i would have gone with one of the other phones...i really dont like the look of the phone in the first place, and that little girl that shows up on the LCD screen when people are calling is really annoying...

hey parraga, i found a link that might be of some benefit to you...check it out..these guys apparently figured out how to put pics and ringtones on the phone...im posted asking them how they were able to do it, you may find something else here of interested who knows...the forum itself has many us cellular employee's on it
