News: US Cellular Samsung Mesmerize..A Galaxy S handset

US Cellular is getting their very own Galaxy S handset and it's called the Samsung Mesmerize (SCH-i500). The Samsung Mesmerize has features such as: a 4-inch Super AMOLED capacitive touchscreen, a 1 GHz Samsung Hummingbird processor, a 5 megapixel camera with HD video recording, 3.5 mm headset jack, microSD card slot, WiFi with DLNA support, Bluetooth, Android 2.1 (an Android 2.2 upgrade is coming “later this year”). Preinstalled are Swype and some US Cellular-specific apps, such as Your Navigator Deluxe, Tone Room Deluxe, My Contacts Backup and CityID.

US Cellular customers can begin picking up the Samsung Mesmerize on October 27, which will be available online and in any US Cellular retail stores. Price of the Samsung Mesmerize will cost $199 after an $80 mail in rebate.
