Well, I have a lg vx8100. I was able to email a midi to myself, but it doesn't seem to let me use it as a ringtone.

I have two seperate areas for sounds, one that has my ring tones, and one that has sounds... anyone know how to transfer them over?

do you need the data cable to set it as your ring tone? I have the music file saved under a folder called "tones" (the phone did this automatically) but there is no way to accually set it as my ringtone, only play it on command.

    problem with qcp

    Thanks!

I can get the qcp/midi file onto my phone in a message, but cannot apply the tone as a ringer. Under "details" it says qcp file. Any way to get rid of that tag or another conversion? I have a Moto 710. Thanks. Paying for things sucks.
