Buying phone while not having 2yr agreement finished

I was wondering if anyone knows about buying a new phone but your 2 year agreement is not up yet? but the catch is that i called in to the verizon supporters and explained to them that i my phone (motorola V265) has alot of static on it and they said that i can get a new phone with a $50 deductable

my question is, do i have to pay the full price of the phones (im looking at the Samsung 950 phone and its full price is 369.99) do i have to pay that much, minus the $50?? or do you believe that i can get the phone for the price that they have of $249.99-$100 mail-in rebate and have the phone down to $149.99 then the $50 deductable? give me your thoughts on this, thanks!

sounds like you have insurance on your phone.. hence the "$50 deduct" for a replacement phone.. Btw, did you make sure you'll get a NEW or Refurbished one with a $50 deduct ? Verizon usually replaces defective customer phones with refurbished units, unless the phone in question is very new..

Also, VZW probably mean't giving you another V265 with a $50 deduct, not just ANY phone you choose...

When are you due for your $100 instant off [ New Every 2 scheme ] ? If you do an early upgrade, you forfeit your $100 instant off, and extend your contract for another 2 yrs.. as already mentioned by Seth above..

You might wanna clarify everything when talking to a VZW CSR because, most of the times, they have NO clue what they're talking about..

Goodluck and I hope you get the SCH A970!!.. what an awesome phone!
