** Apple, iTunes and MP3 Errors on VX9800 **

Hello. I was wondering if anyone else has had these same error while trying to add MP3's from iTunes...

"File Info Read Error"

I have been trying for a week now to upload MP3's from iTunes to my SD Mini disk with little luck. Out of 50 songs, I get about 25% to work.

I can get the songs on the card by formating the disc in the phone first, then putting the card into a card reader, then opening the disc on my computer, finding the folder with the MP3's, then dragging over the songs I want and let the transfer begin. Then eject the disc and put it back into the phone.

The phone sees the songs and plays about 25% of them. The other 75% gives me an error stating... "File Info Read Error".

I've also noticed that every song is doubled on the scrolling MP3 playback screen. Well almost. It has the same title of the song before it, but it has a "._song title" before the song title. If I click that one, nothing happens. When I plug the mini disc back to the computer the file only shows one of each.

Anyone else had these problems? Got a fix?

I've tried Verizon, LG and my local store with no luck.

Please help.

aren't itunes acc format? which i don't belive should work on your phone unless you've loaded your CD's to itunes and then you can rip them to mp3's. acc's can't be coverted to mp3. i hope this helps.

The iTunes Music Store is ACC files, but not iTunes the program itself. You can choose which way you want importing files to be. I always have it set at MP3 for song playback and importing. 90% of my MP3's are 198kbps.

I've tried many conversions with the same results.

I've tried re-importing the songs again and double checking all the setting but still the same result. "error". Plus the double song title tags.

Thanks though. Got any other suggestions?

Yes songs from my CDs, songs from friends, songs from the internet etc. So not all are from my CD collection, but most.

Are you on a Mac too?

Also, I just got back from the Verizon store. I tried again to bring in everything I have and sit down and work with the tech on these issues. I learned a few things.

1. The in-store tech tells me that these are all known issues. Verizon has known about all this for a while, but when I asked why they didn't tell me he said that's Verizon, they don't want the public to know.

2. LG tech support told me that a new software update has been released for the VX9800 that addresses other known issues, but the stores do not have it yet? Wierd. The store claims they are still waiting on a cable and the software to do the updates from LG. But LG said it's Verizon who does the software updates.

Very confusing. I never get the same answer twice from Verizon or LG. They seem to both be playing off of each other. It's not our fault kinda thing.

So I guess I'll have to wait it out, if I can't figure it all out on my own or through theads like this.

Thanks again for anything you can come up with.
