I do not know about verizon but on t-mobile There is a block list.
You go to phone book and scroll down to block list. Hit Ok
Options- Add New
Select
on this u can put in the #
or hit recent recipents and scroll to that to add
and you can also choose to block unknown #s.
I do not know if this will work with other carriers.
I have only had T- mobile.
But I am looking to get verizon if they have the free wifi

Will the person you are blocking know their number is blocked?

No they will not - not on t-mobile anyways. it will send a message saying the # you called is not taking calls at this time. Or thats what it used to say. i have 3 #s blocked on mine 2 are 800 #s and since i blocked them i have not recived any calls from those 3 #s. I do know it does not say anything to the caller about it being blocked

This doesn't help much.

I agree with spum, it's true you need to go to your cell phone's website and try and go to your account's setting and see if you have a 'Phone Number Blocker' application because you might need it.

I know this doesn't help your specific situation, but AT&T does have this feature. There is a monthly cost for it of about $5 and it doesn't help to block calls from unknown callers.
