Samsung SCH-a930

i have Samsung SCH-a930 and i wanna kno why i cant put ringtones on it.. i tried putting songs in my My sounds folder, i tried getting texts from sites but when i got to ringtone setting> my sounds the songs not there



but when i just go to my sounds the song is there i cant set it as my ringtone for some reason Why?

In my experience, directly transfer ringtones via card reader was not work.
However, I could transfer the ringtones via hotmail account to verizon account (which is my phone number) But sometimes, the format of ringtone changed mp3 formate to qcq(or qcp. I am not sure.) If the ringtones' format was qcq (or qcp) formate, it is not work. In "My Sound" directory, only songesname.mid.mp3 type of name songs can be put as ringtone.

Pony up the .25 to send your ringtones to your phone via pix message! It just won't work any other way.

Or, you can simply send it from your own e-mail account. Your phone's e-mail address is (your cellular number)@vzwpix.com. It's very easy, and a lot cheaper than buying cables and BT adaptors that won't even work.

I've been customizing ringtones on my A930 for weeks. I use basic editing software, save as .wav and convert to .mid.mp3

You're not sending it as a pix message per se, but that is how the phone interprets it as incoming when you receive it.

Like paulcman says, bite the bullet and shell out the .25 cents per; that's 12 of your own ringtones, compared to one for $2.99 that you'd get off of Get It Now; the biggest difference (besides the price) being you can use any song, sound, etc. etc. you want...not just what they have available.
