Bitpim and 8600. chime in 8600 owners!

Anyone have success using bitpim to cut and send ringtones to your 8600? i just ordered mine online and im used to having my own ringtones. ive successfully used bitpim to cut and send ringtones to my 8100 and a 6100. im wondering if anyone has done it with their chocolate flip. i see that bitpim supports the 8500. maybe they use the same software? thanks in advance!

deng. i think i read in another post that they used it fine with the 8500 and the 8600. i think it was paulcman? anyone else try it with bitpim? or are there any new developments on newer versions of bitpim?

the older version of bitpim had an editing tool where you can cut the songs down and convert the file. why did they take that feature off in the newest version?

It is still part of the new version, it just looks different. When you drag a song over, BitPim converts it, then gives you the option to "trim it up" to whatever size or portion you want.

I do not know if the current version of BitPim supports the 8600 or the new 9900 yet. Check out BitPim's site for more details.
