Help with new phone option

hello,

I currently have a moto V710 and my wife has an LG vx6100, our two years are up and we want new models. These previous models have caused us some concerns.
The V710 battery life seems real short, less than 3 days when not using and not roaming, plus I have gone through many chargers due to the plug going bad.
The VX6100 seems to not work well in many places that are reported to have coverage. My wife travels some with work and this phone drops calls and looses serice when my moto still has service.

We want new phones that are slim but do not have the above issues. My friends (5+) who have the razors have not reported anything good to me, I am not sure which verizon phone is the best option for us. We do not need it to be a music player or have PDA capabilities. I do carry mine in my pocket so it needs to be small.
