Here's feedback that I received from Cingular
Verizon Wireless doesn't really offer an E-Mail server service. Your company probabily has a GoodMobile Messaging Server, a BlackBerry Enterprise Server or an Exchange Server with Direct Push and Verizon is your main/approved carrier.
GoodMobile Messaging and BlackBerry Enterprise Server are carrier agnostic, that means you can use any approved device with your company's email platform.
If your company is using BlackBerry Enterprise Server then you will need a BlackBerry since Cingular 8525 is not compatible.
However, If your company is using GoodMobile Messaging Server you can ask your IT Department to add your Cingular 8525 so you will be able to receive your emails and calendar information from the Exchange Server.
Also, If your company is using Exchange with Direct Push, you can also ask your IT Department to add your Cingular 8525 and you will get also your information from the Exchange Server.
You need to contact your IT Department and confirm what kind of Service (GoodMobile, BlackBerry, DirectPush) they're using so you can take advantage of it.
