Can I activate a phone that I thought was reported lost?

First timer here...I found an old phone that I "thought" was lost and did an insurance claim about 2 weeks ago. Can I now call in and still get that phone activated. I was going to give it to my girlfriend.

No. You should call up the insurance company and notify them that you found the phone. They will advise you on what to do with it.

It should be noted that once you report the phone lost, Verizon locks the ESN. The only way to get it unlocked will be to call customer care and when you do they will advise you to send the onld phone back to insurance to complete the exchange.
