Reception

Does your phone have like 8 bars sometimes, but sometimes like only 4 and sometimes they interlock? I don't understand how they work at all, I have the enV by the way.

You will have 2 different signal strength meters, 1X and EV. There are times when the phone will only show 1 or the other, depending on the strength of each. As I look at my enV right now, I have 3 bars of each. When I am at work, I usually only show 1X, because I don't always get the best EVDO signal inside my store.

1X is the voice side of Verizon's network, EV is the data side.
