I am using verizon inpulse(prepaid) and am supposed to be able to access the mobile web for a dollar a day on the days I use it. Verizon is apparently now using Mobile Web 2.0, and my phone apparently has Mobile Web 1.0 and the two are apparently not compatible. HELP!! I am a bit of a net junkie and want to be able to access the net on my phone. I tried taking the phone into the store to get it flashed, but apparently(can you tell I like that word?) my phone is so old that they no longer have the firmware update for it. I have a data cable for my phone and would be willing to flash the danged thing myself, but I have been totally unable to find such an update. I cannot afford to get a new phone, in fact this phone was given to me by someone at my church. I told the support peeps that I could flash it myself if they could get me the file, and they were nice, conciliatory, and absolutely adamant that no such thing was possible. They said in order to do that, I would have to buy an update kit from them...which they no longer sell. Any help would be GREATLY appreciated.
