buyin a new verizon phone / xv6700

im plan on going to the verizon store to get cell phones for me and my wife.
I want the xv6700, but its alot of money new. If i get a plan with a normal free phone, will i be able to transfer the sim to a used vx6700 i buy on ebay, and have it work ? i know this works with nextel not sure with verizon...

Verizon does not use SIM cards. But, the answer is yes, you can change the ESN on your line to any Verizon branded phone that is not currently activated on any other line of service.

so i just bought it new for 300$ - it was 400$ without the verizo data plan for a extra 40$ a month. Since it has wifi, i dont need internet through verizon. If i cancel the data plan, can i disable the phone from getting any internet through verizon so i wont get charged extra? I figure after 3 months it will pay for it self

I just bought a verizon razr, it's a red one. I love it but I want a new one, I think I want a blackberry.

Verizon does not offer the red RAZR, only Sprint (or GSM providers).
