switching from cing to vz, special plans/prices?

hi, a friend is thinking of switching from cingular to verizon, are there any unpublished plans or specials for people looking to port to verizon?
she went to a store today and they were most unhelpful to her, i'll be going with her tomorrow to some other ones and see what they can do for her
