Need help with broken VX9800

So, I managed to break all of the pins inside my phone where the charger plugs in and now it won't charge. Everything else on the phone works great, including the battery, except that I can't charge it.

So, now for my question. Can I buy a phone on eBay that has a bad ESN and just swap out its battery for my own, and not have to activate it with Verizon?

You won't be able to use a phone with a bad ESN, you could use the phone with the bad ESN to charge your battery then trade batterys all the time but that might become a pain.
