I'm looking into new phones to get... My 2 year contract from Verizon Wireless is up in October I believe, so that means I get $100 towards a new phone. Either that, or I could switch providers if one has a better phone.
The main feature I'm looking for is video/audio camcorder quality and length of recording (at least an hour, at least 320x240).
From Verizon the main contenders I'm looking at are the EnV, which is 320x240 and up to an hour(I think).
And then, the Samsung SCH-a990. I would go with the EnV no question, but the Samsung has a directional microphone.
The main reason these features are important is because I'd like to use it to record concerts as they allow cell phones, but not camcorders(for personal use, no uploading/selling videos). I think the directional microphone would make a big difference in audio quality... I'm a little hesitant with the Samsung though because I read files aren't transferable via USB of Bluetooth, but I do have a microSD card and a reader, so if that works for extracting video files, I'm fine. Also, I've read the Samsung UI can get slow with large media files.
If there are any suggestion from other service providers, I'm open to ideas if it makes a big difference, but I'm most likely to stick with Verizon.
Oh, and currently I have an LG-VX 8300. Is there going to be an easy way to transfer my contact list?
