I currently have a Motorola V60s phone that has
1xrtt capability but is showing signs of ware & age and I would like to get a replacement that I could still use the
1xrtt connectivity. The problem is that if I get a new phone from Verizon and I want to get
1xrtt connectivity I have to sign up for their 1xEV-DO high speed offering that is an additional $59 per month over my current plan, which only subtracts minutes when I use the
1xrtt data service. Since I only use my cell phone occasionally when nothing else is available and only for getting email I really don't need the high speed internet service.
So the question is is there a cell phone that I can buy that will allow me to continue getting the
1xrtt connectivity and only use my minutes? I have noted that both the Motorola Razr V3m and KRZR K1M have USB ports and there is a Verizon Mobile Office Kit for them that includes software and a USB cable. I also know that there are Mobile Office Kits for LG phones as well. Will any of these phones allow me to use the
1xrtt service and stay on my plan if I buy them and the Mobile Office Kit from someone other than Verizon without a service plan?
