Lost Voicemail Password

I have a pink LG Chocolate with Verizon.

And...I have lost my voicemail password, so I was told I'd be re-directed to an automated reset after my account security information was verified.

I was on hold for 10 minutes and I still didn't get any reply.

What do I do?

Re: Lost Voicemail Password

Did you call the cs to reset the password? Sometimes you've just gotta stay on hold until you get what you need. I've called them before and I had to stay on hold forever.

I assume that by "lost password" you mean that you had set it to begin with. If not, there is a default code (check the vzw book that came with your phone). And just some helpful advice, try setting your password to something you can't lose, like the last 4 of your ssn or your birthdate or anniversary.

Re: Lost Voicemail Password

I changed it from my default code to something else.

I forgot what it was.

How long do I have to wait? How do I reset it?

Re: Lost Voicemail Password

You've got to call the customer service line, and simply wait on hold. I have no clue how long it will take, depends on how many calls are in queue. After they verify that you are who you say you are, then they can reset it for you. Just grab something to drink, something to snack on, and the tv remote. And use speakerphone.

Customer Service
Dial *611 from your cell phone

As far as verifying, I'm assuming that since you are a teenager that your parents are the account holders. Given that, you are going to have been given access to the account by the account holder in order to make any changes. If not, you're gonna have to have your parents to do the password changing for you. (I know this because this happened to me: I created our cell accounts, used MY card to pay for the phones, but put everything into my husband's name. When it came time to make any changes, I had to have him speak to the rep and give me permission to do the account thing. And we had to set a password.)

So unless you've been given permission by your parents TO the company (they'd have your name on file) then you'll have to have them do the changes.

If the account is in YOUR name, then you're only gonna need your cell #, your password to access the account (if you set one), and your name and address on the account. As far as I can remember, that's all you need. You might need more, including ssn. Good luck!

Re: Lost Voicemail Password

Your parents can actually do it right from My Account on Verizonwireless.com, as long as they are registered. It will automatically reset the password the the last four digits of your mobile number (the same as calling customer care or going to a corporate store).
