Ahhhh I'm so confused am frustrated! I currently have a Unicel cell phone and plan. If you don’t know what Unicel is, it’s a small cellular provider, that uses a
GSM network, and is mostly n the New England area and parts of the west, see more at Unicel.com. Anyways, what I want to know is why Verizon is buying Unicel? It just makes no since seeing as how Verizon is CMDA, and Unicel is
GSM. Verizon would have to put take down the
GSM towers and put up their own
CDMA towers, well the really wouldn’t be tearing down the actual towers, just the stuff that is in the tower....I think. But I just don’t see why a company like T-Mobile, or AT&T cant just buy Unicel out, because they both are
GSM.
I have had Verizon before, and know first hand how much the totally suck! I always dropped calls, customer service was horrible, and they have crappy software on their phones.
I just don’t know what I am going to do, because Unicel was the only
GSM service provider in VT, and even if I wanted to switch to other carriers, I couldn’t because there would be no
GSM service where I live.
If some one from Verizon, or Unicel could step in and please ell me what is going on, it would be greatly appreciated!
