The GPS is not accessable.

I don't get what you mean by "actually works"? You mean the ones that are on it don't?

Have you tried to hook the phone up to bitpim to even see?

The only Messenger that comes with the phone is MSM Messenger, and I mainly use Yahoo, and AOL. The ones that I have tried to install on the phone will not even install or work.

I haven't tried to use Bitpim yet, just wanted to find out first before I go thru all the trouble especially since I have no software that goes with my usb cable anyway to identify it with my computer.

I have ActiveSync installed but I find it pretty worthless when my data is on the internet somewhere and not readily accessible.

I'm still learning to use the phone but for the most part I lost a lot of features when I upgraded from my VX-9800 "The V" which was one awesome phone !!!!! I'm slowly lossing interest in my new phone especially when I can't find software to run on it or features to use.

Thanks...

Your new phone has many advantages over your old one.....but has just as many disadvantages also.

Some you are running into...ie the chat programs vs what your old phone has.

You really need to find the drivers for your cable or get a new one with drivers for it. I just checked bitpim, and the phone is listed. Don't really know how much is supported by it though.

With a smart phone, you should have full access to the internet, and therefore your data you have stored there should be readily accessable to you.

That is a nice phone, and I am seriously considering getting it. With Windows Mobile 5, Wi-Fi, broadband speed, Windows Media 10, and everything else....it's definately an upgrade from your old V or my enV.
